My Kids

My Classroom

Hi! I'm Alice Marie

I'm an artist, illustrator, primary school art specialist and passionate advocate for mental wellbeing. My mission is to help adults heal and to build a generation of empowered children, by educating about emotions and teaching safe coping strategies and regulation tactics through art and creativity.
My work is centred around children's methods of creative exploration and I have a particular love for crayons & colouring.
As someone who has struggled with their own mental health, I believe in changing the order of priority in which we deal with mental illness - focusing on prevention rather than continually attempting to find a cure.

My professional practice offers non-clinical therapeutic sessions, lessons and material whereby adults & children have the opportunity to learn and communicate about mental health and wellbeing without the need for words. My personal practice offers an insight into the things that enrich my own well-being, in an effort to visually frame the fundamental elements of myself: approachability, honesty and simplicity. I love using scraps of paper and children's art materials to create layered collages of things that bring me joy.
